Join EOD's, friends, and family for the second annual Dan Johnson Memorial Tournament. Disc Golf is a favorite activity for the Vandenberg EOD Flight and we're coming together to toss a few discs, remember our fallen brother, and raise money to help support the EOD Warrior Foundation.

Join us at Waller Park on September 28, 2004This annual tournament brings together disc golf enthusiasts of all skill levels to honor the memory of Dan Johnson, an esteemed figure in the EOD community.Each participant will receive a specially designed Players Pack, which includes a custom Dan Johnson Memorial T-shirt (design above!) and a tournament-stamped commemorative disc.Questions? Tournament Logistics

Waller Park is located at 3107 Orcutt Rd, 93455This local course brings together disc golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Waller Park offers 16 turf holes and 11 on hilly terrain with tall Monterey pines in play, multiple pin positions, and two holes with positions of over 500 feet.The tournament will have a staggered start, beginning at 0815. Registrants will receive their tee times via email.View Course Photos

About SrA Daniel Johnson

SrA Daniel Johnson was born in Ely, Minnesota. He graduated from NAVSCOLEOD on Sept. 12, 2007. He was assigned to the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron at Vandenberg SFB. While deployed, SrA Johnson was single-handedly responsible for saving the life of an Afghan National Army Soldier injured by a concealed booby-trap.SrA Johnson’s personal awards include the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Combat Action Medal, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. We strive to raise funds and provide resources to ensure the well-being, professional development, and overall support of EOD technicians. Through our collective efforts, we aim to create a lasting impact, fostering a strong community that upholds the legacy of one of Vandenberg’s own SrA Daniel J. Johnson while empowering EOD technicians to carry out their critical work safely and effectively.
